Designed as a test track for Honda and opened in 1962, 50 kilometres south west of Nagoya the full 5.8 kilometre circuit features a unique cross over configuration and also includes the daunting and famous 130R corner. There have been 24 Formula One Grand Prix’s held at Suzuka since 1987 and in that time it has seen the crowning of twelve world champions as it usually held the last race of the season. The shorter 2.2 kilometre East Circuit is hosting the WTCC for first time this year.
