The 2.8 kilometre Guangdong circuit, 40 kilometres north east of Zhaoqing was opened in December 2009. This will be the first visit for the WTCC at a circuit that also hosts rounds of the China and Hong Kong Touring Car Championship and the China Superbike Championship.
